Summary:  This article is about the Warriors new head coach that they signed for 5 yr/ $25 mill. Jackson will be missed as he built a good relation with point guard Stephen Curry.  Kerr had a choice of coaching under the legendary Phil Jackson but turned them down.

Reflection:  This article helped me talk about the Warriors move in hiring Steve Kerr.

CARS:  SF Gate is online version of the Examiner which is a newspaper is San Francisco.  It is reliable because this is a bay area paper with bay area sports news so it is accurate.

Summary:  This article talks about whether Jabari Parker should be number 1 and comparing whether Parker or Wiggins are NBA ready.  Wiggins possess more athleticism and can jump and rebound while Parker has a better all around game. Comparing Parker, Wiggins, and Embiid they are all good picks but the article says that Parker is the safest pick because of Embiid’s past back injures, and Wiggins raw not fully developed talent.

 

Reflection:  This article helped me compare the players ability to shoot, score, and rebound and whether they are a good fit in the NBA.

 

CARS:  Bleacher Report is a good website that I use for all different types of sports.  They are credible and have good writers and they provide good visuals and videos to watch.

Summary:  This article compares their style of play and what their highs are.  Wiggins’ fast style of play may transition well in the NBA.  Wiggins, Parker, Embiid are all so young and are going to take over the league one day.  This draft is loaded with underclassmen and is going to be one of the best in a long time.

 

Reflection:  This article helped me compare the style of play that these collegiate athletes have with one another.

 

CARS:  ESPN is the best site for any sports.  Dick Vitale is an announcer for NCAA basketball is extremely knowledgeable.

Summary:  Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan weigh in their opinions on Donald Sterling’s racist comments.  They both are both the most well respected black athletes in the world and are owners of sports teams.  They are both disgusted and share this dismay on what the Clippers owner had to say about African Americans.

Reflection:  This article and video helped me talk about the reactions the NBA had against Mr. Sterling’s alleged comments on black people.

CARS:  ESPN is the best site for all sports news as it covers a wide range of sports in the USA.  It also had Magic & Jordan’s reaction to the racist comments straight from them.   Best site and show for sports in general.

Summary:  Sterling says that the investigation that was conducted involving the racist audiotape was the voice of Clippers owner Donald Sterling.  Silver gave Sterling a punishment of being banned for life and a $2.5 million fine.

Reflection:  This helped me show what Sterling’s punishment was.  I agree that Silvers punishment handed out to Sterling is fair.  I wish the he would be fined more but $2.5 million is the max that the NBA can fine.

Summary:  This article talks about how Kevin Durant has been number 2 his whole life.  He is always the second best at everything like the second best player in high school, second to be drafted, and second in MVP voting last couple or years.  But this year things are looking different and he wants to put number 2 behind and be number 1.

Reflection.  This helped me talk about KD’s drive and motivation to be number 1 in the league this year.

CARS:  This is sports website that has over 100K followers on social media.  It is a legitimate source for sports articles about anything.

Summary:  This is a recap of how the Monta Ellis led the Mavs to a game 2 win to even the series between the Mavs and Spurs.  This win ended a 10 game losing streak vs. the Spurs.  The article talks about key players who scored that night.

Reflection.  This will help me predict and voice my thoughts on who will win the series

CARS:  I have never used or read this site before but since it’s a new site it is credible.  I didn’t really choose the sight for its name but I chose it because it talked about Monta Ellis because he is one of my favorite players who use to be a Warrior until he was traded to the Bucks.

Summary:  This is  a recap of the Rockets and Trail Blazers game.  The article talks about how LaMarcus Aldridge has been a beast the first 2 games of the series and how he is a nightmare matchup for Dwight Howard.

Reflection:  This helped me support my opinion on why I think Portland will advance to the next round.

CARS:  This is USA Today Sports and I have used this site before.  This article provided the stats for the Aldridge and displays his shot chart and picture from last nights game.

Summary:  This article talks about the evolution of Kevin Durant as a player and how he has elevated his game to new heights over the last couple of years.  James is the only one who can compete with him and Durant is still proving that this award will be his this year.

Reflection:  This article helped me back up my point on why I believe Kevin Durant should win MVP. 

CARS:  USA Today is a national news source and this is from the sports page.  It is up to date and provides good stats between James and Durant.

Reflection:  This article helped me back up my point about how good the Phoenix Suns are and that they are a playoff contender.

CARS:  This is a legitimate Website and the main domain for NBA basketball.  It is updated every couple hours and has up to date info about what happens in the league.

Summary: This article talked about the tight race in the Western Conference.  It talks about the Mavericks, Grizzlies, and Suns playoff chances and the remaining games that they have and whether that they can make it or not.  It also has some predictions on which teams will advance to the playoffs.

Reflection: This article helped me back up my point on how I believe the Mavericks will advance to the playoffs since they are experienced and most of the remain games they have are at home.

CARS:  I would say that this is a credible source as the writer for this article is a writer and a blogger and he seems to know his basketball.

Reflection:  This helped my find the PER for players and showed how productive they are on the court.

CARS:  Yahoo Sports is a credible source and is the next best things to NBA.com when it comes to basketball.

CARS:  CBSSports is a reliable source because they cover sports all over the nation.  They provide bay area sports news and the top teams in each sport category.
